Snipers, rifle-lovers, which rifle did you prefer?

-The .70 rifle, which was almost perfectly accurate?

-The .75 rifle, which is randomized and leaves headshots to chance?

Yeah, this would be good. I myself don't really have any issues with the current rifle unless I'm trying to shoot someone who is literally at fog range.

I do... for some reason i find myself emptying clips and doing 0 damage all the time. It wasnt alwayse like this.

Yeah the "fake clips" thing really needs to be dealt with... but I don't think that's an accuracy thing.

@ArticSledder... but all the best sniping IS at fog distance :)

But i always kill someone in the fog range D:
And on Twitter Ben siad that he will fix the accuracy, fire rate and stuff, basically balance it all over again. :)

The rifles are actually still the same, it's just those god damn rubber bullets and god damn packet loss.
Either that or Me, Tiki, tGM, Enari etc. are really lucky :P.

IMO, I'd rather have the 0.52 rifle. That beast was more accurate than the world clock.
Bad news though, ben will be changing the accuracy on the weapons ;_;. I pray it'll only be on SMG and shotgun.
Tbh, cone-firing/randomized-damaged could work well with the SMG.

Whaa? What do you think "better accuracy model" means? It means that the bullets don't hit where you aim them, but they get randomized so that they'll go more-or-less where you aim.

In other words, the rifle is now randomized like the SMG is, but with a tighter grouping.


Ace of Spades Beta 0.75
-added click+drag building with right-click
-player sprinting added (Shift, disables autoclimb/shooting)
-new masterserver with gamemode, map, and ports
-3rd-person team deathcamera added
-spectator team added
-wave respawning spawns players with teammates
-added ejected bullet casings
-weapon specific tracer effects
-better particle effects
-no more pixelation on turning or lookin up/down

-better accuracy model (weighted toward center)
-weapons now deal different block damage
-SMG block damage reduced
-rifle block damage increased
-spade block damage increased
-spade melee damage reduced
-minor shotgun/SMG improvements
-better connection error messages
-localization fixes (fixed translations and characters converted)
-less annoying respawn beeps
-grab block color is now mappable (default key: e)
-killed heavyweight library dependencies (faster load times)
-server auto-reconnects to masterserver

oh well that isnt what i meant, i meant the bullet spread dodges the target. Generaly, rubber bullets are only problems on arena servers since only the first bullet tends to be like that usually.

Honestly I would just want a pinpoint accurate rifle, not some 0.70 compromise.
If it's overpowered you could just nerf magazine size and rate of fire.
