universal ingame word filter

I think all servers should have it so hack or hacking automaticaly filters to smack or smacking. THis wil hel with every one accusing the other of hacking, besides 1 in 100 hack. reason 2 it sounds similar and still gives giggles. "Larry is speed smacking." "Fulit keeps smacking me".

The issue is, if there is a real hacker, then what? It's up to the servers to decide. A filter option would be nice for Vanilla.

And it doesn't discourage them, it just changes the "insult", for example, the meaning of "Shut the F$#K up !" doesn't change if you say "Shut the flop up !" or any other name sounding similar to the word F%#K.

I would believe it would discourage them if they cant say what they want to say. On the other hand this may cause retaliation and they might spam it. Its just a euphemism.

I saw similar features in other games, and it's more annoying than useful. It's best to keep like it's currently, and kick very annoying players.
