Automatically shrink guns that exceed a size limit

Got a great new idea for the game?

Should the scale be adjusted instead of limiting the number of voxels in a gun?

I don't think this is possible, since the gun voxel scale shares the same scale as the player models, other kv6's and the land/block In game (If you look closely you will see that one block is made of of squares).

Hompy could scale player bodies without scaling everything else. I think it's possible.

To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

it would be ok, it might just be a better idea to not allow guns that are very large, if they're going to do this

Not saying that your opinion or input and ideas are invalid, but i think the reason most people are here because they enjoy the charm of the blocky shooter, and possibly that the low requirements given by the low-res allows them to play.

I do however agree with your point on diff. player models for each team, and believe that they should be able to be modded outwards and inwards (Within reason, otherwise we'll get red signs on people's heads).

my idea is more along the lines of poly2vox not being a completely useless tool when modding.

and its only slightly useful for mapping.

This will be a good way to disable DeathEnhanced's laser sights.

Scaling might not be such a parctical idea, but different player models for each team and a length/height/width limit on the weapons would be very nice.

@booyo

seems a bit excessive, think of all the skins that would be ruined if that were implemented

The dimension limits would be reasonable. If you're not making weapons that are unreasonably or exploitably large, then you wouldn't be affected.

i get what you are saying.

but thats also the reason i think skins should be forwarded to the server.

running an exploitably large skin? its just going to expose your location.

No support, I like being able to see somebody behind a wall because their gun is poking out.

Well isn't just blatantly cheating?

Yes it's very cheaty. I hate it when I hide behind a wall to take the jump on someone only to find they 'magicly' knew exactly where I was. Only pussies cheat...

reminds me back in 0.51 beta
I thought it was clever to add huge lines of voxels on the end of the snipers so I could see people from behind walls etc.
except there weren't smgs or shotguns back then so close clombat was a pain
