No, the DNSL says to use search. Even if you tried it now and it didn't work, you should have used it before. Try to search with more generic terms, I can guarantee there are threads about this already.

Besides that the DNSL is a user made contribution, however the rules state "do not make duplicate threads", the DNSL just helps you follow the rules. So no need to say "NAH ITS NOT ON DNSL SO ILL POST IT".

AND BESIDSE THAT: "nah my idea is better than the other duplicate ideas". So what? You should post it there. Now we have a disjointed discussion, great. Post on existing threads don't make new ones, that is obvious isn't it? See how I am replying here and not making a new thread? Besides that you didn't read the old threads so you have no idea about how well they described it or whether it was shot down.

I do like the idea that you are the only one able to describe how muzzle flash and light work XD

I know that it is annoying when people post 'i wanna tank to spawn every ten seconds that fires nukes and goes DUHDUHDUH' so please, go and have a go at them by all means, however this on the other hand is a serious discussion which is getting positive feedback and would accually improve the game, so I would not mind if hundreds (I exagerate, but you know what I mean) of threads were made on this in an attempt to bring this to Ben's attention.
By all means, go and have a go at all the idiots who demand ridiculous things, I definatly do, but I feel you are just posting here to agrevate people and trying to derail the thread.



On topic again, I would like to see a light of around 10 block lengths (full brightness) then fading till darkness at around 20 blocks

I agree, there should be flashlights. Though even without darker tunnels, they'd be useful, because often I find myself digging down at the bottom of the map, and I can't see because that's just how dark it is down there when you go under a big building.

Though if you add muzzleflash, add an option to disable it, for performance or preferance purposes yunno?

You could also, in addition to flashlights and fixed lights, add a day/night cycle that rotates every 8 minutes or so. Then the lights and flashlights would be more useful.

And as another thing, maybe limit flashlight use like they do in Zombie Panic Source. If you'd ever played it, you would know that if you use your flashlight for too long, sometimes it will start to malfuntion and flicker off.

Ah, and last minute thought- Maybe a cooler explosion effect for nades/airstrike?

I voted yes. But I have a way how the flashlight can be balanced, it would have battery power. Alot like Half Life.
