I have never faced a problem wherein the environment was too dark.
That is all.

We could only hope that there would be an lighting engine in the OpenGL update.

If were going to have a new lighting system, I would like to see something like this:
*Player walks into tunnel, it's pitch black*
*The player walks in the tunnel, things gradually become eaiser to see as his 'eyes' adjust.*
*Player exits the tunnel and is temporarily blinded by the sunlight*
Basicaly I would like to see it work like in real life, the longer you stay in a dark area, the easier it becomes to see.Paratrooper wrote:I don't think Ben could update the engine -- Ken Silverman made it.

Ben can probably do anything with the engine, the problem is whether or not it would be worth the effort writting the code.
Paratrooper wrote:Depends. Does Ben even have the source code for Voxlap?
SICKfudge wrote:I totally agree with this, even if they arnt added in though i belive that Ben should redo the lighting engine to make it more realistic, at present i think it is ridiculous the ammount of light in the tunnels.
At any rate this is the first thread ive seen that i cannot see any big downsides to.
