Quick suggestion-

Headshots cause the head to blow up

Hmmm, this would require a new .kv6 (Which I don't mind).

The only problem is that headshots appear too often. You'll see that almost every kill is a headshot.
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

Hmm not sure about it. At the moment the headshot detection in AoS is really bad so if this was in the new update, heads would be always exploding.
I have decided that a new headshot animation shouldnt be added

It's fine the way it is. I'm pretty sure there isn't a gun that makes peoples heads explode anyways. Implode, maybe.

Comparing this to real-life: No gun in AoS could cause the head to explode. Also, AoS is already as violent as it needs to be. Minimal violence B)

Meh, I like how the game has a subtle approach to violence. I can't see detailed gore really working with the art style.

This would be such a disaster with homps's head size changing tricks.
And as others said above, people who tend to score a lot of headshots would only see head assplosions.
