Some ideas about HUD

Got a great new idea for the game?

Some ideas about HUD

Postby dark13f » Thu Mar 22, 2012 4:29 pm

1. Chat - change style, it's very hard to read it.
2. Add 3 keys. F2 - Attack, F3 - Defend, F4 - Attention, this keys opens team chat and you must add coordinates. Small icon will appear on the map. Default coordinates are were you are staying. Time limit, maybe 1 minute, against spam.
If icon are outside of map, show direction like this:

3. Icons direction on top of screen, like skyrim or oblivion. For example, you spawning randomly, you must to defend the base, but for the first time it's hard to understand from where opposite soliders are attacking.

Don't we already have this with the base/intel icons? What other icons would you want?

We are here because the Universe offers conditions so life can evolve,to the point where(at least one)species,in a small planet around a star lost between millions of galaxies,is able to ask itself:What was my origin? (M. Gleiser)

1. You can edit fonts in I think the .png folder to make chat more readable.

2. Already suggested.

I like this idea
the only problem is that it would be hard to make people listen to it. whenever i tell people via chat about a tunnel for example, they ignore me. so im not sure how more effective this could be. still, its a thought worth contemplating
I don't see why more people don't makes forts. even if not useful, they're a lot of fun

It's better to walk in the dark with a friend than it is to walk alone in the light.

Here's a 2+, polished rifle and a brand new shiny helmet to protect your crotch from the deathly bullets.

The people who uses it right can make a great difference on the field of battle. The nearby markers can be seen and checked from there. It could help finding the hidden snipers from the surroundings for the rest of the team.

While it's possibly going to be used wrong a bit, I don't believe many could keep doing that since it's boring and doesn't do anything spectacular.
It should be removeable by a press of a button, too. If I think I'm about to die alone somewhere, I'd like to place a mark in the middle of the fight. If I win the shooting, I just remove it from there from doing actually nothing.

Nice idea, Ben should consider about this a little bit.
