I would like to use them as sticky/mines and that they blow up as you shoot em.
The idea is a multiple use. You can place them as land(mine) and at walls(sticky bombs) and shoot them to blow it up.
AoS The worst game with the greatest potential .

I like the idea of using alt fire to plant it as a mine, however i would impliment it as such:

no time taken to plant it

no limit on the amount planted per team

make them explode when anyone comes within the normal blast radius of the grenade (by line of sight) and explode instantly


however to balence this out i would then make it so that anybody, from any team walking past a grenande once it was planted would set it off (i mean, irl if you set up a motion sensor rig with a 'nade its not gonna care what side your on is it), encouraging people to talk more about where they are using them and only using them when necarcary


sorry bout the necro, thought it would be better to share my thoughts on it here instead of starting a new thread like a total derpface who didnt read the dont suggest list


EDIT:After planting it maybe say a 5/10 second delay before it becomes active to give you a chance to get the hell outa there :P

Protected area's around spawns, ect?

Apart from that id say its a simple matter of kicking the buggers before they do too much damage

Having the grenade alt-fire be a gentle roll would be better, or at least a weaker toss

If we're going to have landmines, they should be optional. Players should be able to choose between grenades and landmines. Landmines should only detonate on enemy players, that will prevent griefing.

IRL grenades do not have motion sensors
You can put a little string and make a tripwire, but that is not a good use for grenades in AoS

That's why my original idea is that it would have the grenade's timer =/ It would be more of a satchel charge, really.

Being able to toss the grenade somewhat in a weaker toss or roll it is much more useful than using them as satchel charges
Grenades are supposed to be a offensive weapon, not a defensive one
