Adding stamina-bar.

Got a great new idea for the game?

Tested Sprinting Right now. I say no to Stamina bar. It's all tweaked fine. You don't move lighting speed fast, you cannot use weapons. Seems balanced enough.

ok

if people dont cover each other now, they arnt going to do it because you make them drown.

Oh, and penalizing people for not playing on flat, unappealing maps isnt the way to encourage teamwork.

And theres this, its only like a 30% movement increase, its not doubling your speed or anything.

They will, becourse they have to

They play in them anyway, and people have been whining about autoclimb being too fast for ages. This would increase teamwork and balance many features, you know it as well as i do.

It is balanced, i'm not saying that. It just bugs me that you can sprint infinitely.

How does this relate to anything? This isn't about how much it increases your movementspeed, it's about adding a stamina-bar to limit sprinting and various other features ingame.

But I would find annoying to see my movement speed halved. It would be annoying to have to stop digging for 15 seconds just because. It would be annoying to drown in those maps that have a lot of ''sea''.

Sprinting, I think, is balanced, because you are dead meat if you try to do it for too long.
Though I'm not against having some small breath sound when you've been running for e.g. 30 seconds, and the sprint speed being reduced a little (still faster than walking), and regaining the full sprint after a few seconds of rest by walking or standing still. But a stamina system like you suggest would honestly be a little exaggerated.

Don't take me wrong, I would love to see teamwork encouraged again in some way, but this is taking it waay too far.

The thing is, they dont have to. If people do care enough to aid in building theyre going to do that, BUILD. Even now when players build bridges that, in their words, "would make our mothers proud", its either they help build or go on their way. This is because its more efficient to have everyone using their time to quickly build the bridge and move on, rather then expend half the team looking for specks on the horizon that'd pick them off and contributing nothing.

This doesnt "fix" autoclimb because the very nature of maps prevent it from doing what you want it to do. All itll do is make water a hazard it doesnt need to be and make digging tunnels an irritant noone would deal with. Going up will depelete the stamina bar but you never got into depth, so im going to assume its a fairly modest rate, which wont do shit because maps arnt just a giant hill that goes to the max height. Itll deplete and then regain as theyre going across flat/declining sections of the map heading to the next incline, assuming there is one.

Because youre contradicting yourself. If its balanced that means it perfect as it is. This is like saying "the weapons are balanced, but lets nerf the rifle and buff the smg". So how does it relate? It relates in that youre trying to fix things that arnt broken by taking a sledge hammer to every other feature in the game.

I would, but I'm not a trained soldier.

Besides that all the AoS guys wear is a helmet, a coloured jumpsuit, and carry a gun (the shovel etc mysteriously vanish after use). I think a well trained soldier could run for quite a while like this... I don't really want a 2 hour stamina bar or something.

I'm pretty sure you don't need military training to take a sprint outside.

Just becourse the spade and grenades aren't visible when holding another object doesn't mean they aren't there. And i'm pretty sure the "jumpsuit" is supposed to be made from some kind of a bulletproof fiber, how else could we take a bullet to the knee and not bleed?..

Soldier who carries 60kg every day != me.

They do bleed, watch closely when they are shot...

I know blood is sprayed when shot, but what i really meant by bleeding was bullets leaving holes to the players, and blood bleeding out of the bulletwounds.
