Got a great new idea for the game?

Before start to say something : I put a troll in your troll before you troll.

Yes I know AoS is not minecraft, we don't want AoS like minecraft or CoD, nanani nanana ...


But, for my opinion, I find sad to see there is only 1 kind of block. And this block can be destroyed by weapon (3 shots except for shotgun)

What I suggest in a first time for have a progamming strategic oriented mod (a game for competition and team) is :

- Put a last stand victory condition, each team start with amount of lives who decrease each time one of their member die. When the number reach 0 the team lose. And this with a fixed respawn point (or box)

- Limited the ammount of block you can carry by something like 3 or 5, and when you respawn, have 0 block in inventory

- Have specials blocks in the map (thats the minecraft-like ressource), like block who resist better against weapon, and other who resist better against grenade

- Put a little sprite for each side of the block for differenciate them, all player will be able to change the color of the block without change his nature


If this mod is created, other possibility could come with implementation of "ressource block and craft" like :

- classe with special ability

- weapon constructed by craft and limited (when you die the weapon disapear)

- why not a research time system for some technology


In short term, have another real strategy game which have player for base unit, like freeallegiance (but this is a space game simulation with rts system)

And dont forget, I will troll you if you troll this :p

i dont want different blocks,i think we have enough as it is,1 type
also AoS IS NOT,REPEAT NOT A RTS,AND NEVER WILL BE

Nevermind about your opinion, I didnt search if there are some topic about the same subject. But I saw in other thread you post always the same shit : I dont wanna change AoS cause I am a dumbass and I like game without difficulty.

Do you know what is A MOD, a mod is something you can load or unload, without change other game configuration. I will explain easier, imagine 2 mods the actual AoS, and another AoS with special mod for player with brain. Its not incompatible.

So I dont care about your sig, and AoS is a RTS. All weapon have not the same efficiency with different range, and there are some basic build (bunker, wall, ...) so

I don't know if you're ignorant or what, because last time i checked this is a suggestion forum where you suggest things that (if liked/aprooved) would be added to the vanilla game.Also where the flap did you get a RTS out of a FPS, i'll never know...

Part of what makes AoS fun is its simplicity. More than one type of block would needlessly complicate the game.

That's basically tdm in a nutshell. It's a shame that it's so rare.

Oh God, no. That would make building a nightmare, not to mention greatly limit the amount of effort builders are willing to put into their structures.

That's actually not a bad idea, but the way the landscape is shaped by the ongoing battles makes it dynamic enough as is.

That's the point of having different weapons. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses. The rifle is good for stealthy sniping at long range, but it's so retardedly underpowered that it's nearly useless for any other purpose. The SMG is essentially a fully automatic sniper rifle. Its only real weakness is that it eats up ammo quickly. The shotgun just fucking sucks all around.

Actually, that one might work. If we can manipulate and modify the landscape, why not the weapons? I'm sure it's not without its drawbacks, though.

I don't care about your life, and the real question is why shouldn't the game have difficulty ? A game without difficulty is a game without good reason to play it. If you play a PvP game, its cause you dont want play versus dumb bot, and you want have difficulty increased by ennemy skill.

This only applies to singleplayer games. You don't play vs "dumb bot", you play against real people, ergo the difficulty mostly depends on the skill of the enemy players.
