Binoculars

Got a great new idea for the game?

Re: Binoculars

Set of description for binoculars:

1.) Can see through x distance through fog (arbitrary)
2.) Can mark enemy players
3.) Removes marks once Binoculars are unequipped/unactivated.

Any more rules?
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

Ben told me on the IRC that Binoculars are coming in a future update, he said they would be implemented before the artillery comes in. So that means that vehicles are on their way, but binoculars are coming before them

Crap no, if we can mark enemies. I don't want Battlefield 3 Doritos again. It destroys the point of hiding.

If you know how to hide then you won't be spotted in the first place. :)

Why does everyone assume that binoculars would have to come with a spotting system, if I see something in the distance there certainly isn't a bright orange dot where that person is to everyone around me. Instead I tell them the rough direction (in chat), how it should be done.

You said
I think that items that have a tactical or strategic use are way more interesting than a weapon for people who are poor players

Ou... i must be the worst player on earth if i think that weapons are more needed then some stupid binoculars.. Am I @Gorman ? Your logic is making me sick.

you make me sick with your crappy attitude towards other players, you should at least TRY being decent on the forums.

What are four words a sane person would never say, alex?

Also, on topic, Binoculars would be interesting if implemented right. Perhaps a 2x zoom effect and it replaces grenades. But, for the love of god NO marking enemies on other player's maps. Leaving a reminder of a possible sniper's nest for yourself is OK imo though. Would definitely add to that Counter sniper: The game feel that can be so awesome.

This is actually a pretty cool sounding idea, like, if you lock an enemy in your binoculars they are in their radar until you die. It would be sorta like a recon drone in CoD, but less stupid.

I would rather have it so that While you have your binoculars pointing at him,he will be marked on the radar.

Rule 3 would be annoying, if you swap to spade to dig even 1 block all the marks are gone? How do you propose marking works? Look at a player and press mouse button? Perhaps use scroll wheel to choose what kind of marker to place.

Why not incorporate marking any location (build markers etc).

SnaJperME wrote:Hahaha xD wow now this was hard stupidy. if someone doesnt manage good ammo he is a bad no wait poor player hahhaa nice.

So, you are that only bad players want sidearms then..?

SnaJperME wrote:Wow you really got problems in life or? I said binoculars aren't that needed i would prefer new weapons. And you rage about that really. -_-

The last 3 or so comments I have seen from you are basically "I want sidearms not this crap".

Cut it out, we have enough sidearm threads without hijacking the good threads.

I know you have poor English but please, get someone to proof read them or something. They are mostly unintelligible drivel and it takes real effort to decode them.
