Suggestion: Literal Aimbot

Got a great new idea for the game?

Suggestion: Literal Aimbot

Postby MegaDeuce » Wed Feb 22, 2012 8:19 am

Why not put an Aimbot script to good use? When a player reaches a certain number of kills in a killstreak, he gets a sentry-android that he can place anywhere on the battlefield. This little bastard would shoot at anyone within range, except maybe the aiming would be a *little* randomized so it wouldn't be overpowered. If you get shot by it, it'd say "Aimbot killed Playername". Obviously this isn't meant to be permanent, so it could be killed normally and once it's ammo is out, it de-spawns.

Anyone like this idea? Is there a maybe a pyspades wizard out there that could make this happen...?

If a guy is already pwning why would we give him such a crazy weapon? @_@

I don't think there is any system for adding NPCs at the moment either!

Trust me man, I can already hear people raging and leaving the game because of this. Plus, if a man is so pro, why give him a noob killer? Seems overpowered, doesn't it?

Oh yes, just what we need to add on to the other unlocks.

What else is gonna be next? We have airstrikes, artillery barrage is going to be added soon too.

Well, I figure the android-bot wouldn't be able to move, so it wouldn't have to be very smart....

Anyhow, I thought I read somewhere that the airstrike script actually works by spawning an invisible player that spams grenades, I was thinking something similar could work here??

I am not sure if this would fit so well, but it could work, maybe the way I imagine it seems weird. but anyway, if it is added, the damage should probably be pretty low, so it isn't too powerful, considering you don't have to control it. I would rather have turrets/machine guns instead, then they could do a lot of damage and be good vs blocks

this game is already unbalanced enough with optional instantkills...yeah i mean headshots.

so why make the headshotters more powerful when they have instantkills? remember that hackers can (and will, and have if you mean the game system itself) take advantage of this system.

What about a turret that doesn't shoot, but just points out enemies on the map or in person or whatever, really:

I really just want a mod friendly system that makes things like this possible to make myself.

I quite like your idea, however it should only point out enemies which are in VISIBLE range from the turret, (Not under it/behind an object/too far to see), perhaps also have a sound for when it detects enemies, like beeping very frequently if the enemy is near, and if the enemy is far, less frequent beeping.
This beeping can then be heard by the person who set it as well as a blip of the enemy appear in red whilst they're visible to this 'turret', and the enemy can also hear the turret beeping, thus they will have a fair chance to escape it's radar but with risk of yet still being hunted down. (Or not add radar of enemies at all, but just rely on the frequency of beeps to tell you how close the enemy is to you?)
I think it should be hard to require this turret, perhaps after each capture, the person who captured the intel can set it at any place of their wish, and it is only available for X amount of time, before it is unavailable and you need to capture the intel again to gain it. This way the position of every enemy on the map won't be given away when intel is captured, like before.

Oh man, that'd be pretty cool... or maybe the aimbot could just shoot blanks, so his tracers would show you where the targets were??
