buddy, you are doing it wrong. here, let me try:
>>GRIEFING IS A FEDERAL CRIME IN THE USA!<<Griefers will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!So, to answer the original question, not turn into a troll and/or blow up,
or to proceed with doing all of the above in any order...
...let me tell you, why i think that the game is unique.
It has a voxel based engine. This game is based on VOXLAP engine made by Ken Silverman, started on 2000,
and being one of the few engines of this kind. Possibly because voxels are a pain in the behind
to operate and because all of the models are also made of voxels (previous attribute applies to this).
But voxels have
versatility, as you obviously have noticed while playing the game.
It is possible to create a variety of structures, not possible in games utilizing polygons, because
the amount of data for all of these structures (their pieces) would be too high.
>>> minecraft has voxels, what makes AoS different? <<< Because this is none of that Java B******T,
this has an actual programming language running this, which doesnt eat up 400 mb of ram.
It innovates.Like minecraft? Like CS? Like BF? And like TF2? Why not mix them together?
It's funny, how there wasn't anyone, who would have thought of this before.
Or at least made something like this. Like, writing their own code... With notepad... Not like SDK guns for minecraft...
Criticism aside, this game combines the elements of these games, and does so quite well.
We have guns, we have deformable terrain, we have modes like CTF and Conquest (called Territorial Control),
and of course, we have the ability to achieve incredible results with teamwork (just like BF).
Oh, and we also have griefers... >_<
As for those of you, that disagree - too bad...
I still think, that combination of existing ideas is innovation.
It has awesome community."kto polak" and "deuces" make my day.
Yes, its fun, but it would be terrible without members our more expierenced members.
You know, those guys with the friendly attitudes, who are actually able to use their brains,
instead of trolling. And this community has persistance, i mean, we dont just quit,
if the game hasn't been updated for 3 or so months. We make mods.
We make maps. We make utilities. We make forum posts. We DONT GIVE UP!!!
Its portable.8 mb install? B***H PLEASE! I can archive this to 6 mb.
I mean, come on, this thing is small enough to download in less than 10 seconds
and it even runs on my DELL toaster...
