Hot Shot Snubbing. (or how to troll aimbots.)

Got a great new idea for the game?

Hot Shot Snubbing. (or how to troll aimbots.)

Postby SeanEBlog » Mon Feb 13, 2012 1:48 am

Sometimes a votekick just doesn't work. An obvious aim bot doesn't get kicked because not enough enough people vote in time.

So I suggest that if a player has A) scored more than 5 head shots in under 7 seconds and B) kills someone who has just respawned withing 3 seconds more than twice, than that player shall be declared a "Hot Shot" by the server. Being declared a "Hot Shot" means only one thing: You are stripped of your immunity to friendly fire.

Now I know that these players should just be outright kicked for using aimbots. However, a legitimate player might get lucking and meet these two conditions. I only purpose Hot Shot snubbing as a means for players to deal with aimbots that are on the same team. If an aimbot can't get vote kicked, than the user behind that aimbot could at least be frustrated by the fact that his friendly fire immune teammates are not going to tolerate his shenanigans and shot him when they get the chance.

I know I wouldn't tolerate a teammate using cheats.

5 headshots in less than 7 seconds? Yeah, 7 in less than 7 isn't too hard for some completely legitimate players.
Kills someone less than three seconds after they spawn? Yeah, so if Team [x] is sucking something fierce and getting spawn killed left and right then friendly fire should activate? No.

Any decent player's nightmare.

Ignoring the ridiculously low arbitrary requirements, don't you realize that the team with the aimbotter is the team that refuses to /y a votekick? The only people to kill someone just because they are a good player are griefers and teamkillers. Why are we encouraging people to kill each other? Sorry but this is just a horrible idea.

I'm lowering the second condition from 3 seconds to under a second. I just saw an aim bot take out a whole squad on the opposing team as they were spawning, didn't even give them the chance to touch down the ground.

Lots of people can do this, especially if it is a squad since they spawn so predictably...

Besides, don't you think the whole idea of labeling anyone who makes a good shot as a 'hacker' is a bad idea?

Solution:
Type /votekick [ players ID ] [ reason goes here ] Dont type in [ ] though.

I dont like this idea, I already get called hacker enough this will make it worse.
If the votekick does not work, Tell an admin or just get off the server
