Got a great new idea for the game?

New Class: Bombardier

What if you had a class where all they got was explosives that could be placed (like blocks - left clicking) and then detonated remotely (right clicking). You could place as many as you wanted, but once you right clicked, all the explosives you placed exploded. It would probably have to be a small explosion so that it doesn't get too overpowered, and once you die, all explosives you placed that weren't detonated would disappear, but it would be a cool aspect of the game to have to deal with in terms of construction/demolition. Comments?

So the blocks would just be remote-controlled mines...
It could be creative to see that used in Ace of Spades. Maybe you could add a timer to the bomb so that the explosion wouldn't be too overpowered to use.

Yeah, that's a good idea too. You could just have them explode a little bit stonger than grenades, and that should be fine...

The game is about griefing. Buildings aren't built in that game to look good, they are meant to protect you against others. At least, that's how I understand it. They can already blow stuff up with their guns and grenades.

Hmm... Yeah, i didn't think about that...
I guess it sort of depends upon how they develop the game to counter that.

You must know that in AoS, the griefers are a very big problem. The only protection against that is the tower of babel mode(if you want to play it, look on the list).

Which is sort of ironic, considering that usually you make things knowing they will probably be destroyed anyway. Given, the game is still beta 0.75, so hopefully one of the developers will come up with something creative.

Yes thanks, I wanna do that!

However, maybe C4 charges to replace the grenade as an option?

Basically, you plant the C4 on a block, run away, and detonate. I'd say 1.5 times the blast area of the nade (considering this is made for destruction, and isn't as quick to deploy as the nade). If you die, the C4 can either

A(Which I prefer): You respawn, and if you still have C4 chosen in your nade slot, you can set it off.

B: The C4 becomes inactive, and cannot be used

I think C4 is a good idea, but its fuse should probably get reset when you die. or the fuse should need to be in range of your detonator, so you have to be within 20-30 blocks of your C4 for it to detonate when you press the detonator. I think the developers should add 1-2 more infantry weapons and then focus on equipment, like binoculars, c4, grenades

I would also propose that the bombardier should have the RPG, but its too TF2-like.

The c4 should explode when an enemy is in range. That would prevent any misusing.
