A zombie mode should be added to AOS. In this mode, there is 1 tent and no intel, everyone is on the same team, and you survive against AI zombies as long as you can. If an AI zombie touches you, you die instantly. They will have pathfinding ability and grief blocks that are in the way if they cannot move around to you. Zombies should have their own kv6 files for their body parts and corpse, and if you are killed, you will become a zombie. If you are a zombie player, you can only use your spade, and you have 10 times the regular amount of health. Unlike zombie mode, you will not be able to break blocks to jump up very high, eventually use guns, etc.

You will earn points for every zombie you kill. If you kill a zombie player, you gain 10 points. And in this game mode, you will not run out of clips, you just have to reload. The person who has the most points wins. The round restarts when all players are dead.

Also, if you are just going to say "go play call of duty 5600" or whatever that silly game is called, please get the duck out, the zombie mode I suggest is nothing like COD's zombie mode.

Actually,it is like CoD zombies,except in CoD you cant control yourself when you turn into a zomb,you have an ammo limit and buy weapons.
I dont think it is possible,I think someone already said that singleplayer is impossible because the AI used by the NPCs to navigate trhough the destroyable terrain would be just way too complex.

You can say this about any zombie game. Left 4 dead is just like COD zombie mode, because there's zombies, only differences is... gee... the entire game. :I Any game with undead humans devoid of super strength or intelligence can be compared to COD.

COD is about surviving waves, AOS zombie mode will be about getting the most points/kills, and there won't be a shop.

Minecraft is working on pathfinding AI... in java. AOS is programmed with c++, right? C++ is a better programming language from what I've heard, less prone to crashing and things. The AOS zombies just need to be able to follow the closest player, jump over obstacles, and move around blocks. Actually, no, they don't even need to move around blocks if they can just grief whats in the way.

I also forgot to mention, zombies should have their own sounds: a moan sound (for when they walk around) a hurt sound (for getting shot) and a death sound. That is all.

It's not a matter of "c++ is a better language than Java" (which I am not going to debate here), path finding and AI are above Ben's level, he doesn't have the knowledge to do it. Notch was a professional programmer for years before he started working on Minecraft, and now he has a team of guys working on it. Please don't compare Minecraft and AoS; and especially do not say "Minecraft can do it so AoS can too".

I think that this should be made like CS zombie mode , all players at the beggining are humans , and they are all on the BLUE team , 5 seconds in the game one of them turns into a zombie , and goes to the GREEN team , and he has lets say 1500 health (beacuse everybody will be shooting at him) , if he hits you with a spade (or some new claw or hand model) you turn into a zombie too but u have 1000 health. No need for pathfinding , and it's awesome fun like this
