Here are some suggestions I have in mind. Please reply with constructive criticism and remind me if there is anything on the DSNL. Thanks!
1. Boosts
No I don't mean like very overpowered boosts, but like little buffs. Such as health, speed and power buffs. You can get 2 of the three boosts at the cost of the last one. For example, you can have a 10% speed and damage buff, while a 10% health loss.
2. 2 different downloads, high quality and normal
There are many players complaining that they want better graphics, animations, etc. Here's the solution. The HQ version has the animations such as reloading, firing and more running animations. It also has more models such as 2 different team models and 2 different gun models. However, the players with the HQ client does NOT have any benefits in gameplay, just a more polished look.
3. The rifle becoming more of a long range weapon
The rifle is becoming more of a bolt action rifle, so why not increase the zoom to 4x or 3x?
4. Mod indicator
The AOS launcher in 1.0 should have an option to see which servers have mods or not. I think it would be useful for players that want to keep their mods, if there are any.
5. Classes
This is a little misleading. Instead of stuff like Call of duty classes, you can choose different mods in the launcher instead of having to change the file manually. You just drop the file into the "mod folder" and choose it from the launcher. Of course you can view the mod such as how it looks in first person and how it looks in third person. You can also see the sights and listen to the guns sounds. Plus, the default models are already backed up. :)
6. Damage dropoff
Most of you know that in 0.76 damage is going to dropoff at longer ranges. However I think that there should be an initial damage. For example, the rifle at point blank range should have less damage then gradually increases where it reaches the "sweet spot" where the rifle does the most amount of damage(which is the ideal range, about 5/6 of the fog range), and then drops off again. For the SMG, the damage should increase quicker, but after hitting the sweet spot the damage significantly drops off so that there is a slim chance of being a "SMG sniper." As for the shotgun it does maximum damage the entire range. but then spread makes it very improbable to be accurate at longer ranges
