Got a great new idea for the game?

After a recent game where I was lagging like Hell, and some lame fucks kept finishing off people I had shot at several times, I had an idea that I think would be cool.

My idea would be to introduce decimals to the scoring system, and have assisted kills. Points would be calculated as such:

damage dealt / 100 = points given

For instance, were I to shoot someone to the point that they were down to 25 health, and then DeuceMcGee finishes them off, I get .75 points added to my score, while DeuceMcGee gets .25 added to his.

Any thoughts?

Awesome, points instead of kills would give it a more retro feeling as well and would be great for those almost-but-not-quite encounters we all have.

I think this would be cool for a game mode, but not for the default game.

I'm pretty sure this was done before. A simple server.py mod did the trick, but it wasn't possible to do that in a script at that time, don't know about now.

I like it, would be great for me since 80% of the time someone who's better than me ( *cough* everyone *cough* ) takes my kills.
