Option For Some Game Modes, Corpses Never Disappear?

Got a great new idea for the game?

Option For Some Game Modes, Corpses Never Disappear?

Postby sportsfan2 » Mon Aug 06, 2012 3:47 am

Hey all,

My suggestion is that for game modes such as Tug of War when you die your body stays there for the whole round.

For example on a map called Omaha Beach (D-Day beach map) wouldn't it be cool to see hundreds of corpses littering the beaches and mountains?

Maybe this is already an option, i actually can't remember from when i experimented with server hosting.

Thanks.

it'd be cool for a graphics option or something, some games have something similar where you can change how many bodies there can be at a time, or how long they stay. I don't think it being a game mode thing would be that nice, because it might really lag some people's computers if they cannot handle it

I support this idea, as it would really add to the immersion, and it would allow us to figure out the high traffic areas.
and of course recreate this scene ^

I like that point about discovering the high traffic areas.

this could be bad for some people who are already filled with lag, and what about people using corpses as a way to hide? they can see you, you cant see them.

I don't feel like having the entire floor covered in bodies.

if the bodies have substance, meaning they're solid and stack on top of each other it would be really cool and wouldn't be just a graphical thing. and you can blow them up with grenades and hack them up with the spade... i noticed AoS is sorely lacking that aspect.

it'll create no man's land places and force people not to camp and shoot enemy in one spot all day.
You'd be able to use the bodies for cover (until the bodies fall apart from grenades/too many bullets) but will stand/crouch on top of them, so not able to hide from view in the bodies.
