is this council free for all members to join? i don't quite understand exactly what you're looking for in a person who is applying. and is the basic gist of the council to pull off some weight from mikuli's shoulders and help out with the clans on the forums?

It's to make it so that the deciding factor in whether or not a clan gets a sub-section is not the decision of one site administrator, but rather a group of experienced people.

Please ask your questions regarding recruitment of the council in the council recruitment thread. But anyhow, the council was meant to provide a service in which clans would receive a more fair treat than "make a thread here and wait for your turn, it might take months", and also to filter clans which deserve the section from those that will die in weeks after becoming official.

About how long after receiving an application will you guys decide whether or not to discus it? Also, when will the discussed clan's name appear on this thread?

So about how often is the "Clans currently under discussion" list updated? Because it seems like a lot more clans would apply for an official clan.
