It depends on how big they are, and they would be your team's color. I think it is an ok idea, but then it might make your gun look smaller when you are'nt scoping and such. Good idea though.

I FULLY SOPPORT THE SIDARM IDEA WE NEED A HAN GUN IN THIS GAME BECAUSE IF WE RUN OUT OF AMMO WERE DEAD ND WE CANT RUNAWAY CUZ WERE AN OPEN TARGET NOW I DONTLIK THE THOUGHT THAT I DOSENT DO A LOT OF DAMEGE IT SHOULD DO AS MUCH DAMEGE AS 10 SMG SHOTS BUT ON THE THOUGHT OF HAVEING A SECONDERING WEAPOND BUT HAVE U THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE BUT AGAIN I SOPPORT YOUR IDEA

I've toyed around in my own head with ideas for side-arm type things, but overall I feel like it sidearms would undermine the beautiful simplicity that makes this game so great.
Additionally, I almost made a suggestion where rifle classes would have pistols instead of grenades to help them escape an ambush from an SMG/shotgun enemy (seeing as the rifle is less than preferable at close range) but that would also ruin the game, and easily defeat the purpose of any kind of tactical ambush.

Lets reiterate over your suggestion;

What is going on this in this thread, seriously. All i want is a low-power, low RoF, medium range sidearm to whip out in case i run out of ammo, and the enemy is not in the spade's (1 Block) range. I seriously don't see it "Destroying the balance", or "being OP", or "Promoting run & gun", or what ever.

WHO needs those? Those are not needed, they are nice additions aimed at making the game more varied, but they are not needed to cover any specifical range.
Besides, wtf, guided missile to destroy aircraft, something we do not have, that launch airstrikes, something that is NOT in the vanilla game? Nope
Besides, I don't see the pistol as a "light handy assassin's weapon",(the shotgun already covers that, because you want to kill as fast as possible, even if with some noise) but rather as an emergency weapon, to defend yourself if you are caught reloading. It is going to be important specially with the Rifle magazine nerf.

Well, I can agree with the sidearm. But even it needs limited ammo.
IMO it should have stats like...

RoF: akin to that of our .76 rifle
Spread: little more than an smg.
Block hitting power: 7% of one block
Ammo per clip: 12
Total ammo: 48
Head: 67
Torso: 21
Limb: 10

Anybody with me on these stats? Open to changes.

With the RoF like that I better hope that its a revolver. To be a pistol, the damage needs to be nerfed (a lot) and RoF has to be about 1/2 of the smg, but not automatic. Something like the Glock 17.
