Got a great new idea for the game?

Realism/Blind Mode

Ok, i haven't been around long but i just got an idea while playing.

While in a match people rely on the radar to figure out their enemy, such as defensive formations and intel. Why not have a game-mode where radar function is disabled and you only have the map without waypoints or whatever and utilize the chat to relay information.


Please post anything you can to further improve or counter this idea, or if it has already been thought of and i just didn't see it in the "don't suggest list"

Sounds like COD. The objective of the game is to make it simple and different to other FPS.

Cause in COD people always chat to each other and work as a team [\sarcasm]

I think it would be cool to disable the map (like as a server option), would make it more fun, like it used to be

Good idea..... but it is kind of CoD how about just no map so when you press M it comes up in map: Sorry but no map.

to be honest i have never played CoD (XD)

it's just options to manipulate radar functions sounded like a good idea to me :P

People are dismissing this suggestion far too quickly.
Basicly, what this guys is saying is that he thinks it'd be cool to play with radar as a separate so it'd be more realistic.
So, you guys are all assuming that just because this idea is in cod you thinks it's bad?
/faceplam @ noobs who think this idea has only ever been in cod, and that ALL cod ideas are bad.

Should we remove guns, graphics, Hud, bullets, ground, grass, dirt and sound from the game while we're at it?

I don't really see how does this relates to CoD. Actually, the very first thing that comes to my mind is Hardcore mode in BF3.

This has nothing to do with CoD, in fact, it would make the game less like a run & gun shooter. Take out the minimap, bullet tracers, and all that other nonsense.

Call of Duty is where you use the minimap and little to no teamwork. This idea is the exact opposite. By getting rid of the minimap, the players will be forced to use teamwork to find intel or weak spots in the enemy's base rather than just using the minimap to see the intel and tracers.
