The All-In-One Client

Got a great new idea for the game?

The All-In-One Client

At some point we will need a client program; something that can launch the game without going to a web-browser or a third-party program. I would like to see one sooner than later becuase it would make the game much more presentable.

THE FEATURES:

Server Browser: A browser that could be sorted by name, player count, ping, location, etc. Think of how Spadille works.

Mod Maker: A more user-friendly version of Slab6.

Mod Manager: It would provide an easier way to switch out mods, and also provide a preview of what you would look like in-game.

Config: A settings menu with fancy buttons and sliders.

Not only would this simplify getting to the game, it would serve as a launchpad for new features outside of the game. For example, Registration could be easily implemented, all you would have to do is type your account and password when you launch the client (like minecraft). It could also allow for easier updating (again, like minecraft).

What do you guys think?

a.k.a. a main menu.
And yes, that is something that bcoolface would like to have at some point, though I'm unsure of what features he'd add.

<@mikuli> the bad part in this plan is that it involves an already busy tea-drinking scone chomper with a monocle

Must be done ASAP, IMO. (acronyms, yeah!)

Especially the server browser - God, the one on the website is ass-on-a-stick (no offence, but true)...
So, that is a priority, next after more technical stuff I don't care and spectator mode.

You found my secret signature line, damnit! Alright, Polaks are bad, I admit. But it's not their fault.

So long as we don't loose launch from URL (application link?) I am ok with integrated server browser.

Okay guys, i made something similair to this...
Check the released mods section.
Still a really early version, only settings utility present, but hey, it's better than nothing.
