More critical hitboxes

Got a great new idea for the game?

More critical hitboxes

Postby lehma18 » Sun Feb 05, 2012 3:54 pm

I was just making some tasty, TASTY bacon, when i thought to myself: "We need more hitboxes".
I mean, if i shoot enemies in the heart it just does 49-damage. So, i think there should be critical hitboxes in following parts of the body:
-Heart (100 rifle dmg, 75 smg & shotgun)
-Lungs (60 rifle dmg, 35 smg & shotgun dmg)
-Groin (75 rifle dmg, 55 amg & shotgun dmg)
Heart and groin are obviously hard to hit, so they make more damage.
What do you think? Love it? Hate it? Discuss.

Too complex. Too many bullseyes spoil the target - and all that.
Besides without specificy markers to designate what is heart/lungs/groin then it is just luck as to if you hit them or not.

Pretty much yes, but then again, so is one-shotting enemies at fog-distance, and skilled players manage to do that all the time, me included.

I think we are fine with just the head, it such a huge target, why make more targets?

Also having them all over your body ends up benefiting the "spray and pray" guys (I use precision)

I also use precision, but it's so annoying when i take the intel, realize my team-mates are all dead or camping, look behind a corner and see an enemy, and my aim is just where the heart is.. And i need to move my aim to the head and he headshots me.

<+Pulchritude> Why does the groin have more damage than the lungs
<+Pain^3> That's a stupid system
<+Pulchritude> I mean if you get shot in the lung, you'll have like 5 minutes before it completely collapses and you die from internal bleeding
<+Pulchritude> if you get shot in the dick, you'll be good to go for awhile.

So, basically, other player are faster than you and they kill you a lot, so you suggest adding more places to aim..?

I think you should just learn to play faster.

No? Even at fog distance you can see enemy heads and take shots at it...

Besides that I don't know why you want to buff spray and pray...

Hitboxes already fails, ever since if you played COD with Quickscopes.

Actually no, but i see you have already made your mind of me being a noob, so argumenting with you leads to no-where.

Quite funny actually, as AoS is supposed to be slowpased.

The rifle isn't 100% accurate, so it's pretty much luck if you hit them or not, at that range. If you are such a good player, as you claim to be, you should know this by now.

How is adding 2x3-voxels large hitboxes to groin and the heart buffing spray & pray-gamestyle?

More critical hitboxes = higher chance of getting a critical hit while spraying

It does increase the chance of getting a critical hit - I'm not saying it doesn't. But, heart and groin are in completely different places, and the hitboxes are so small that if you spray & pray, you'd be lucky to hit them. A good player would still have the same advantages over a CoD-kid, just a few more target-locations

Answer this instead of ignoring it.

Do you have some kind of fascination with phallus like objects? Or do you think shooting people in the dick is some kind of comedic thing?

Sorry brah, i forgot about your post.

Why does the groin have more damage than the lungs
Becourse it's harder to hit, and getting shot in the nuts would hurt so much you would propably pass out from the pain. Besides, i'm already having second thoughts about the lungs, as they cover quite a big area.

do you think shooting people in the dick is some kind of comedic thing?
Thinking about this, the gory and death serious gameplay could use something to cheer it up. Maybe cookies and butterflies. Or just the characters screaming "Ouch, my balls!.."

Why not add more hitboxes? Lets ruin the game some more with bad updates, yeah? Sounds gud.
