Intro:
Ok so i have been playing AOS for a while and while wandering tunnels i noticed the lack of danger and light. There is almost no danger except for other players. Also While digging stuff it's rather dark and hard to see sometimes. So i figured adding different animals and basic torches to the game would enhance gameplay.

Animals
Here is a list of animals that would be added to the game: Bats, wolfs, Moles, Eagle and Piranhas

Bats
When you dig tunnels and forget to put torches then bats can spawn in the tunnels. They hang on the roofs of the tunnel and when a player is within 5 blocks of the bat the bat will start flying and whacking and biting the player causing 3 points of health a second. The bat can be killed with 1 bullet from any gun or 2 whacks with the spade. Bat size is 1x1x1 blocks.

Wolfs
When your going around the map without any players its rather dull. To help that out i am suggesting wolfs. They are gray and can be deadly in packs. They on all blocks and usually spawn in groups of 2 to 5. They do 5 damage a second and when a player comes within 20 blocks of them they charge. They take 2 shots from any gun and 4 whacks from a spade to kill.(2 gun shots OR 4 whacks). The wolfs size is 2x1x1 blocks in size(2 blocks in length)

Moles
Moles spawn randomly underground when the map is reset. When a player is within 10 blocks of the mole the mole starts to tunnel towards them. The mole is a bit stronger than the bats but less than the wolfs. They do 4 damage a second. and take 3 shots from any gun. 5 whacks from a spade. They are 1x1x1 blocks in size.

Eagles[/b
The sky is rather empty. Nothing but sky and light. So eagles should clear that up. Eagles are rather peaceful creatures unless provoked. They attack other creatures like wolfs. They are 2x2x1 blocks in size and do 8 points of damage per second. They have the same amount of health as a player. Eagles are rather rare so dont expect to see them a lot.

[b]Piranhas

Piranhas are Fish that swim in the water. Once the water is fixed then you will be able to see piranhas swimming. piranhas are fast little fish that do 2 damage every .5 seconds. They are .05x.05x1 blocks in size. When a player enters the water piranhas instantly start tracking the player so swimming can be dangerous.

Torches
Torches Light up the area. They help you see in the dark and stop bats from spawning. So yeah they are just torches.


That concludes my suggestions for now. Thanks for reading and i hope these get added in.

No to animals, yes to torches/lanters/source of light.
Sincerely, I don't know how would we benefit from animals. They do not fit into AoS, they would be something "foreign", "alien", IMO. This is just something more to turn this more into Minecraft and less into AoS.

The whole animal thing is, I can say for a fact, never going to get added to the game. It just does not fit in with the feel of Ace of Spades at all. The torches would kind of make tunneling more difficult, so I don't eve see that getting added either.

The torches wouldnt get used and the tunneling would get even less used.
What would be cool is that when you get underground you automaticly get a hat with a candle on it.

Flashlights are all I can agree with. I can see it in your left hand, and a light weapon in your right (because you have to hold a rifles, smgs, and shotguns with your two hands), a weapon like a pistol would work with a flashlight, so when you scroll to your pistol, you automatically have a flashlight in your left hand, which you can turn off (for example, so guys cant see you at night) with a keyboard key.
A fixable light source would be useful, I guess, too, so you can use your two handed gun, in a sniper den perhaps. I think players should spawn with two lanterns, which you can mount onto a wall, and when that player dies, all places lanterns dissappear. Lanterns should only give off faint light.

In conjunction with the equipment slot suggestion I made (here: viewtopic.php?f=234&t=5547) an equip-able flashlight would go nicely in the game.

Animals however don't seem to fit Ace of Spades.
