World War III

Got a great new idea for the game?

World War III

Postby thedoctor1212 » Sat Feb 04, 2012 11:43 am

I just had the CRAZIEST idea what if there was missiles in the game. There could be missile silos. A system could could be set up where one person could suggest a launch, after they find a place where they wanted to destroy (like an enemy base), the team would vote for yes it no if over 50% agree then it goes off you would select a place on the map where it would go. Five people would need to be at the launching solo at once to make a suggestion and stay until launch is detonated or suggestion is declined.
You would only be able to launch a missile once every ten minutes.
People call me a pro. But they're wrong, killing isn't a profession, it's a passion.

With current teamwork you would never even get any missiles fired. As for the idea itself, it really serves no purpose in AOS.

Like with the other threads, think things through before you post them.

1st What does WW3 have to do with rocket silos ? And 2nd what would be the damage ? I mean what kind of destruction would it do ? As it is right now sounds pretty useless as just like Squel mentioned, try getting 5 people in 1 place agree on something if they are not some friends.
AoS is NOT Minecraft with guns !!!

What I'm saying about WW3 is that the damage would be huge and then the aftermath would be as devastating as ww3.

And anyway it as a spur of the moment thought, I hadn't really thought it through.

I also saw it as a way to make people work together more, they might start to understand that when you work together you create a bigger impact.

I kinda like the idea.

Let's say if you capture the intel you get one missile, you capture another InteL you get another missile.but the teams decides where to launch it. The danger about something like this is. Is that people only go for the Intel and forget teamwork, or they are actualy going t work together.

ROLEPLAY (the Intel = the codes for the missile.

let's say you need to capture strategic point, you need to secure ammo depots or healtstations so your team gets bonusses for working together.

strategic points (RTS,company of heroes)
....................
Man power = Respawn time(less man power is slower respawn, more man power mean faster respawn.
fuel = More secured strategic points, means faster loading of the missile, ect.
ammo = More ammo points secured means ammo resuply at your control points, cause you have more territory.
ect...

But to keep your advance going you need to keep those strategic points connected to each other.

Just an idea.(that i kinda stole from company of heroes, would actualy make AOS way more intresting.
slow is smooth, smooth is fast
