getting deaf

Got a great new idea for the game?

Would you want this implemented?

getting deaf

Postby XxsnipahxX » Tue Jun 26, 2012 11:04 pm

When you`re near a granade within 1 or 15 blocks, you should go deaf for about 5 seconds to 30 seconds, depending how close you are near the granade. It wouldn`t work on teammates.Only enemies will make you deaf.

First off, dont double post/bump.

Second off, BAHAHA! Man, I love trolling. Period. One of my favorite things to watch on youtube. Honestly, I'd abuse that and totally spam grenades at my teammates. I know others would do so as well. I could easily deafen tons of teammates within 10 seconds to a minute. Would be priceless.

Not to mention, 10 blocks isn't that close. Lots of people would be going deaf. I'd say 2 blocks, no more so.

-1 Actally, explosions cause sonic booms and are extremely damaging to hearing. being within the real life equalivant of 8 blocks would leave you permanantly deaf probably.

+1 I like the idea, as sound is one of the most important parts of the game. Grenades would become far more important.

A lot of people have been suggesting Call of Duty-used techniques recently. For example, tossing a grenade back and now the deafening if a grenade is near you. Ace of Spades is its own game. It's not a sub-game of Call of Duty, nor one of Minecraft, so a lot of those features won't be implemented. Of course, you're not the first/only person to try suggesting a Call of Duty feature.

Well, if both games benefit from a feature, I don't see why not implement it. Besides, I didn't knew that there was deafening in Call of Duty.

Yeah, when there's a flash grenade (still a grenade), it makes your hearing go berserk.

I reckon that it would be pretty cool, as long as your hearing gradually fades in after five seconds, with it taking 3 seconds to fully recover. It would add some nice warlike effects to the game.

this feature being in other games doesn't mean it's bad, this isn't even really a Call of Duty thing since it doesn't appear on anything but the flash grenades, and this game doesn't have flash grenades. I'm not sure how implementing something like this would make it a "sub-game" of call of duty, or even why games being similar to it is being considered so horrible, but whatever. and anyway, I don't think dismissing an idea for the reason that it's in a game that you don't like(and probably have never played) is really valid at all

but it's a good idea, yeah, maybe something with the bullets causing a very minor effect similar to this would also be cool, but it'd have to be like MG/semi bullets only or something.

You mean getting shell shocked?
I don't think a feature like that would be good for this game, If anything it'd be irritating when people starts spamming grenades at you and your team.
