Game mode idea- Escort

Imagine this: What if the player carrying the intel couldn't use his items? No gun, no blocks, no grenades and no spade, because his hands are full with the intel. This game mode should promote teamwork and cooperation, since a guy only has a very slim chance of slipping away from an intel-holding area unscathed, and a lot of the guys who play competitively usually do anything to get the intel capped. Now, I have no clue how to code a server into setting these rules, (I still can't set up a server at all) but what do you guys think?



PS: This would be like Infiltration if it happened.


ALSO: What would you change about this game type?

seems like a good idea, but it will not succed because AoS COD-based gameplay (mostly with SMG) ruins teamworking

Are you saying this game type already exists in the AoS world? Or are you thinking of another game with a game type by that name?

http://www.americasarmy.com/intel/missions.php scroll down until you see VIP escort. THE MIssion is to keep the vip alive. if the is vip dead, the team will lose.

THis sounds alot like VIP from AA3 and in AA3 they hit that game mode out of the ball park, absolutely phenomenal no one can come any where close to replicating it.

This would be awesome. However I have almost never seen any teamwork in this game, so I would expect one guy would build a tunnel to the intel, and then go back through the tunnel avoiding any of the *dreaded* teamwork O_O

I've played many games with this mode or a variation of it and it is pretty fun. I hope it will be added. :P

That'll just promote tunneling. Who needs teamworking when theres a risk free shortcut.

The enemy always makes the tunnel super visible, and camps it until the attackers give up using it. SO HA! (JK)

That's a good point, but then, what if the fort was just one block above water level?
