Silencers in AoS?

How about Aos having guns with silencers? Guns that are silenced would not have their tracers shown on the mini-map, but do less damage then normal guns and guns with silencers would behave like normally

when i need to do 2 shots instead of 1, why should i use silencers, when i hit people once, they will turn around.
so silencers are for assasins, and assasins wont kill with attention.

I dont depend on seeing the traders on my mini map enough to use them but I still say yes because then there would be a silencedsmg.kv6 file that I could turn into a second smg and the same for the other guns. I would also like individual sights for silent weapons

Or maybe just having the option to switch grenades for the silencer? Would it be for all guns though, or just the SMG? The shotgun's barrel is sawed off, i don't think it would be possible to fit a silencer into it, and even if it was, it'd look dumb as duck. Maybe different options for each gun, like slug rounds for the shotgun and piercing bullets for the rifle. Slug rounds turn the shotgun into a rifle with more damage but much lower accuracy, and the piercing bullets go through one block but do half the damage to the player. (Through blocks obviously, if there's no block between the target it does normal damage)

I would not like the silencer being added to the game because it makes it turn a little bit more of cod. Nearly all ideas are being suggested on the terms of a feature in CoD.
We should make Ace of Spades original and keep it the way it is now.

CoD isn't the only game with silencers. And how does this make the game more like CoD, it promotes sneaking. Right now the only silent weapon we have is the spade, witch is total shit. Grenades are better close quarter weapons than the spade is.

The Spade is not silent. It can be heard when hitting people. Also when you run or walk people can hear you.

Yes but the reason for the silencer is to hide the tracers on the mini map. I mean a silenced weapon isnt silent either it quieter.

I remember seeing a game where you could remove the silencer at any time in the game which is super original. Maybe you could scroll to the silencer between the spade, blocks, grenades and unsilenced. just an idea

When you crouch or hold "V" you don't make any movement sounds. You're right, the spade does make sound, but it doesn't pop up in the map, so it kind of is the silent weapon of the game. From my experience with it, i have learned that it's range is one voxel and it takes two seconds to kill someone with it. Make the spade instakill, and increase it's range to two blocks.

Hmm, yeeess.. Being able to switch it in game would be better.

I don't think many people count on the mini map to spot where the enemy is. Well, If this was added I would just stick to my old powerful good rifle.
