Got a great new idea for the game?

Addition of Flashlights?

I honestly just want a way to see where I am tunneling. So I decided why not suggest Flashlights? I'm thinking the balanced way to make this is have it be on the spade? While I did use search and found a thread about Flashlights and it wasn't strictly about Flashlights, I also read the DNSL and could not find anything about flashlights.

What do you think?

EDIT: Removed Toggle-able seemed too unbalanced.

Would we always be wearing the helmets or do you pick it up?
If the helmet is always on then it'd make sense to toggle it.
If not then I wouldn't see a lot of people using it.

Still, i think addition of lights as the game is would be pretty pointless due to the only lighting at the moment being ambient and I for one can see perfectly well while tunneling.
I think this would only work if a full lighting system was implimented

Ah, Because when I am tunneling I can only see once a block is removed and for a short second.

Well, The hole tunnel illuminates once I put holes in the roof, But you can probably see how that would be a problem.

But.... you don't really need to have flashlights lights torches or waterfcuk you want.
I can see where i am mining. If you can't see, just turn up your brightness in the menu of your monitor.

The thing with my monitor is if you Fahk with the brightness and all that it completely screws up and you can't see anything until it is restored to factory settings. I noticed that the darkness only happens when you are about 12 blocks deep.

I didn't see a map with 12 blocks deep limit. And if you are a "supah extra computer pro" you would know how to turn up or down your brightness.

Gen maps have more than 12 blocks, And I know how to change brightness it just fahks my computer up.

On topic: I think the best way to implement this is to put it on the spade.
