Got a great new idea for the game?

Infection game mode

Infection would work like this. Humans would have to survive from the zombies, and when they die they become a zombie as well, and the game would end when everyone becomes a zombie. Don't know why the zombie game mode isn't like this already.

Right now it isn't even zombies anymore. It's just a bunch of super jumping humans with shovels trying to steal the intel from the team that can use guns while that team steals the intel from them. Its basically ctf, but one team is can only use a shovel. Kind of ridiculous.

The leaderboards would be a little stretched, don't you think? Id there were 31 on one team, and 1 on the other.

It should be like in ZPS; If the human team is already full, you auto join zombies. The first 20 are humans and the rest go to zombies. Get it?

Yes we could do that, but what varun is saying that when it gets down to 1 human and 31 zombies the board would be stretched

Yeah, so infection literally would not work, unless you could make the letters smaller, or come up with some sort of scrolling method.

What about less people? We could tone down the player limit to make it work, like only 16 players.

Would it really matter if everyone's score wouldn't be shown? Wouldn't bother me.

This was actually tested on the Komrade server. It just barely fits, I think the last person might be only half on the screen.

I agree with hax, make it restricted to 20 or so.
This idea should be easily done in pyspades. Just deactivate building and destroying, deactivate guns and nades for infected team, replenish ammo for every kill, maybe buff health for infected, switch to infected when you die, end game when everyone is infected. All of these I've seen before so its just a matter of putting it together.
Someone should make a topic in pyspades about this.

with the leader board problem, maybe the human team side could be moved over to the side, along with the zombie team moving over to the same side a bit and have that team double column when it needs too.

I'd rather not decrease the player count in infection. It's one of the main reasons why the game mode would be really fun, tons of zombies. Just simply add scrolling to the leader board, problem solved.
