I think it is fine as is. We already have a far-mid range (rifle), a mid-short range (smg) and a tunnel rat/urban fighter (shotty). I don't think more is necessary. maybe a sidearm would be O.K, but it seems to be that it would only be useful for those who can't manage their ammo. as for rpg, I feel like that would ruin the point of grenades, as it would be much more powerful and longer range. As for HMG, how is it significantly different from SMG?
I don't see why more people don't makes forts. even if not useful, they're a lot of fun

They don't need to add anymore guns, but they really need to buff the shotgun. I miss when it was just as usable as the rifle and SMG in many situations. :/

Weighted average is 5.56 guns.... So it looks like 5 is probably close to the right number :)

Well... In my opinion. Only 4-5. Excessive guns = OHMYGODWHATDOIDO
Lots of guns = HARDTOBALANCEGUNSOMG (Yes over-all the community complains about gun balance. So how would lots of guns help)
Small-Medium Selection of guns = Balanced and... Not like borderland's bazillion guns.

Rifleman :
1-Bolt action rifle - more powerful, more range than semi but very slow ROF and low capacity
2-Semi rifle - the current Semi
3-Carbine - faster shot but lower range and damage than semi, higher capacity

Gunner :
4-LMG - heavier damage and ROF than Assault Rifle, but no sprint and only efficient when crouched
5-Assault rifle - the current SMG
6-SMG - lower damage and range but higher ROF than Assault Rifle, also better mobility

Trench cleaner :
7-Assault shotgun - semi-automatic shotgun, shoot faster but lower damage
8-Shotgun - the current Shotgun
9-sawed-off shotgun - one shot but more mobility and damage

Sidearms :
10-pistol - damage of SMG with semi-auto shot and range of SMG
11-revolver - heavier damage but lower ROF and capacity than pistol

12-bazooka - awarded in a crate who randomly spawns on the map

My friend , a elephant gun was used during ww1 against panzers ( and infantry is you had him on the scope) . Before ww1 it was used to haunt elephants cause of its great calibre and penetration , so it got its name elephant gun . So now u learned something my son.

MG's and snipers. Snipers would be bolt-action, unlike the semi-automatic rifle. Machine guns wouldn't allow you to sprint.

I voted for five, seeing as there will be pistols and an RPG (Its not a gun, but for all intents and purposes let's pretend).

There's no need to over-saturate the game with multiple guns that would fulfill the same purpose.

"Adding new weapons in general"
"Turrets"
"Mortars/Machine Guns"
"SideArms"
"C4 Explosives"
Just sayin'. I think i'll stay with the SMG, Rifle and the shotgun. Would be pretty cool to add some new weapons.
