Today i propose to you that grenades, rpgs, and what ever shall be added in the future with explosive properties should look like actuall explosives. For those worying about frame rate drops, not to wory for this shall also be toggleable by the client. Therefore, AoS may have the opprotunity to look more amazing by the users wishes. Of course though it doesnt have to be anything too amazing, just semi-awesome.

use your imagination. I just simply want it to look something like an explosion, but not so realistic that to turn it on you also have to get a computer upgrade.

i know that it shouldnt be prioritized, and it also wouldnt be very hard to implement anyway. expecially the way you described it.

yes, maybe some red/orange squares of different sizes show up and move around. I am not sure really, but this is a good thing to work on

So we add dozen more red/orange/yellow color pixels in the middle, the eploded ground color around it... Amirite?

I think so... but they shouldnt go as far as the grey particles because then it will be for the most part the same.
Edit: maybe there will be a an "off" option, self explanitory, a "Medium" option where it is just the particles and a "High" option where it loads some sort of images instead of particles.

Sure, with some kind of options slide on how much particles you want. I sure would love to see more of them flying around as grenade explodes.

I think the first lot of particles should be coloured red or orange (the ones that fly out the shortest distance) and the ones that really fly out should stay grey, that would help CPU usage and give a prettier asplosion

Depends on where the grenades explodes, in the air (almost spheric explosion) or on the ground like on your photo

A blast of fire-colored pixels would do the job, I think.
