New scoring system & squad/clan chat

Postby inazumaeleven24 » Thu May 31, 2012 9:02 am

Hi guys!
So what i mean about new scoring system is, everything will still be same but there will be new features added to the scoring system.
The new features will be:
    1. There will be a stats save file in the AoS folder saved in our computers
    2. Kills in every game will be saved
    3. Headshots will be recorded by the game in the stats save file
    4. You can share your stats in this forum by manually uploading it via the User Control Panel

The problem is, i found out earlier sometime this year or last year in this forum that AoS is supposed to be simple, no complicated stuff. So i just wanted to know if this problem or not, or are there more problems like these for short, it will be hard to be put in the game etc.

Please guys i need your replies/comments and sorry in advance for maybe not being able to reply to your replies in this thread and sorry for bad english.

Thanks in advance guys! :D

EDIT : 5. The weapon used in kills will be recorded too in the stats save file. (this is included in the new features list above)

MAJOR EDIT :
Thanks to 170, lehma18, Putin & MrHaaaaaaxFF's replies , i have considered to make a "major edit"

I will now make my suggestion threads about new scoring system (this thread) and squad/clan chat (viewtopic.php?f=65&t=9256) a "joint" suggestion thread thanks to 170 & lehma18's replies showing teamwork.

So before anything added yet i will copy+paste my squad/clan chat post:
"Hi guys!
So i thought about this while playing on servers with big maps and i thought that squad chat or clan chat will be really helpful for successful assaults and bringing teamwork more into the game.
Well this will only be implemented on servers that have squads if clan chat will not be implemented.
Sorry for no in-depth explanation/s, for the bad english and i may not be able to always reply to your replies/comments.
Thanks in advance for your replies/comments :D

EDIT 1 : Sorry if this suggestion is already taken, i just wanted to bring more players/moderators into this suggestion ^_^"

So that was my squad/clan chat post, now these are the new features/notes:
    1. Regarding the stats being edited, a "registry thingy"(as MrHaaaaaaxFF posted below) will be needed to not edit the stats that will be uploaded.
    2. Kills while in a squad will be separately recorded
    3. Squad/clan chat will be beneficial to those who cannot install Mumble or Skype due to no headphones/microphone.

And that is it, Thank you for reading this additional info about this suggestion :D

MAJOR EDIT 2:
Thanks to ChopChopThePanda's reply, another i got another idea:
When this will be implemented (specifically the squad/clan chat) individual and clan rankings will be ranked in this forum.
And when possible live feed of scores or at least feed of scores in major servers can be seen through this forum (optional)

P.S. This suggestion is slowly becoming from two suggestions to many in one (or two)! And that is awesome guys thank you very much for your replies! :D

MAJOR EDIT 3:
Thanks again to 170's reply, I have decided that the new scoring system will not have stats and that there will be no feed of scores in this forum.

So for now this suggestion thread will now focus on the squad/clan chat and the NEW SCORING SYSTEM SUGGESTION WILL BE TEMPORARILY CLOSED/SUSPENDED :D

28 days later... You found your hardware goes mad with AoS kill records.
And number 4. create elitism(if you don't know what is it, Google)
Otherwise, i think it would be unnessacary, IMHO.

Thank you very much for your reply MrHaaaaaaxFF. Thank you for pointing out that problem because it will really help the AoS team if ever this will be implemented (1% Chance LOL XD)

If this file was saved in our user control panel I could imagine people would edit this giving themselves a zilion kills. How could you prevent that?

You cannot edit the stats file without any hack/editing program to do it. When you upload the stats file via your User Control Panel, it automatically recognizes your stats and you cannot edit it without any hack/editing program.
Thanks for your reply :D

Sounds like we need some registry thingy or something... It's impossible to do that my friend D:

Individual records encourage people to play as individuals. Why build a bunker for your team? You're not going to be getting any kills, so what's the point?

In my idealized AoS, the only thing your stats contain are your win/loss stats. You want players to be motivated to win, not have a better kill/death ratio than their friends. It's about encouraging team play.

@lehma18 true that and thank you very much for your reply

Thanks to your replies guys, I have thought to make this a new suggestion or at least change the main content of this suggestion thread.
