New Votekick Style

Got a great new idea for the game?

New Votekick Style

If a griefer on your team removes x blocks that you laid in a row(lets say 10) and you initiate a votekick, they should get kicked automatically (or nearly so). that would fix the vast majority of situations. its pretty rare anyone pays attention to a votekick. This system is completely broken.

im really tired of griefers and i wont play this game anymore until its fixed one way or another. its really fcking ridiculous at this point that you cant build a tower without it being ruined by your own team.. Lately I will build something on a quite server, take pics, and then grief it myself to deprive some idiot of the minor satisfaction.

another option would be blacklisting players if they attract a high level of votekicks against themselves per their overall playing time.

this game has really attracked a low quality player base so far, overall. Its about time to over-react.

The thing is, sometimes people just place a load of crap everywhere, then leave. Sometimes is not possible to do a rollback either. I've had to remove a load of crap before, and have been nearly votekicked for it. Luckily an admin understood and cancelled it.

Good post, lol. I think this will be partially solved when the registration system arrives, I would like it if they did what you just wrote:

True, but that would be where the 'ownership' aspect would come in-- if the builder would have to initiate the votekick against the griefer. so it wouldnt always work, but often enough builders are still in the area. Clearing out old junk just would not count.

The votekick system already understands block ownership and whatnot, so it would be a quick alteration to do this.

I think most griefers are very stupid and illiterate in english, so it would be unlikely that they would use the system itself to troll. Of course it is possible. I guess often I'm building, and some idiot comes in and completely f*cks the design, trying to add on. So it would backfire if you found yourself undoing another's bad work.

Player x has initiated a vote kick against player y, reason: Penis.
Player x has initiated a vote kick against player y, reason: autist
Player x has initiated a vote kick against player y, reason: deuceforum censored
Player x has initiated a vote kick against player y, reason: tuchin me[sic]
<server> Player y has now been black listed.
(those are all real vote kick attempt reasons i have seen btw.

You really shouldnt think they wouldnt abuse the system. If someone can think of obvious flaws, chances are theyre going to abuse it easily. Griefers arent always stupid, and ive seen people grief in ways i wouldnt have ever thought of.

We are here because the Universe offers conditions so life can evolve,to the point where(at least one)species,in a small planet around a star lost between millions of galaxies,is able to ask itself:What was my origin? (M. Gleiser)

Drawback: Enemy griefs your base. You get mad. You initiate votekick and bam insta-kick. Unfair if you ask me.

When I was playing one of my first matches, some random guy started to place blocks all over my construction (like totally covering it), so I started to remove all the shit he had made, got votekicked by the griefer (I had removed +50 blocks), and got kicked.

So yes, now I don‘t know if this could work correctly on servers.
