We say skill is secondary because even if someone is extremely skilled, it doesn't mean they'll be invited.
It's usually their skill which gets them noticed by different members of the team, from there it's down to whether we like them or not.
As for achieving the skill, we have started practising every weekend (as of a week ago). We've also done the odd smaller practise - I found that 1vs1'ing mikuli made me a fair bit sharper since he will snipe your head if you miss first time. Playing people of your own level and higher is important, since they're the only ones which will give you proper competition and stretch your abilities.
That said, many of us have spent time in Goonhaven and other generally deuce-filled servers, since it gets us used to tracking multiple targets and avoiding fire. If you see us in GH we're likely training up our accuracy for when we either play against each other or against other clans.
