Hosting problem (Perhaps ports)

Postby Vortex » Fri Feb 17, 2012 1:51 am

Okay, I've tried to run my own server, and each time I do, it disconnects me from the master server.

I've also port forwarded number 32887 at type UDP.

My portforwarding options which I filled in are below

Name: aos
Type: UDP
Start Port: 32887
Finish Port: 32887

My firewall rules are below also, which I filled in

Service: aos(UDP:32887:32887)
Action: ALLOW always
LAN Users: Any
WAN Users: Any
Log: Never

Heres the entire server.exe message.

Code: Select all
Type 'gen' to generate a map or mapname to load a map (exclude .vxl extension)
gen
Game mode ('ctf' or 'tc'):
ctf
Enter Max Players (between 1 and 32):
32
Enter Server Name (A-Z, 0-9, max 31):
Stormwind Infantry
Advertise on master server? (y/n):

Well it's hard to say because I don't ever deal with the vanilla server, but I'd suggest you download and run pyspades [http://code.google.com/p/pyspades/]. It sounds like you might still have a network issue though. Try disabling your firewall completely (just as a test, to see if it works)?

Make sure your software firewall is set to allow those ports to be open as well.
