KVX/KV6 are object formats and VLX is a map format. You could create portions of terrain in Slab6 and import them into Voxed and piece them together. But bear in mind that there are limits in the filesizes of the KVX format (KVX being the best format to import into voxed with the U key and move around on the map with the numpad). The pieces can't be bigger than 256x256x255 in the KVX format. VXL maps are (always) 512x512x64. KV6 format can also be imported into voxed, but they will come out looking very blocky and I just don't really suggest using it. the KV6 format allows for objects to be 1024 blocks but that is bigger than an AoS map and there's some rigamarole you have to go through to import them into the map and they wind up at half the block resolution you made it as. (Sorry... just woke up and am having coffee while writing this... i sure hope this makes sense. ;-) )
Also, if you're having trouble with voxed i highly suggest you print out the voxedhlp.txt file and keep it handy. Also look into "Voxed Companion" which reconfigures some of the keys and makes the program a bit more friendly.
