Not Letting Me Play

When This Update came out, I w as PUMPED. Now when i call my friends to play, i cant. It says REPEATEDLY, Connection to server failed. If Someone Could Please Help Me Fix This I will Be Thankful!

I have almost the same problem. When i try to connct to any server, an error pops up that says: initdirectdraw failed:0x80004001. HÃ¥lp please.
