Rpg- LOOKY HERE.

Postby TRYxHARDERxPANTS » Fri May 18, 2012 2:56 am

It Should be Like this
Rocket projectile should be fast, but a bit inaccurate.

The Rpg would have 1 shot, but 2 extra rockets to reload with. (3 shots in total)

When it explodes it should be the same as an impact of a grenade (3x3 Crater)

Pistol as a side-arm preferably. 7 shots in the clip, 28 shots to reload, Smg accuracy, a slower firing rate than the SMG. Semi Automatic.

Boom Bam done. Seems balanced, What do you guys say?
3.2 GHz Phenom II Quad Core Processor.
8 GB Ram
1.0 TB HDD
Radeon HD 6770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 Video Card

AND I USE IT TO PLAY ACE OF SPADES.

If it would have the same impact as a grenade, why use it, when you can use a grenade?

I like the idea of an RPG. I'm also looking forward to OpenGL, but I'm not sure about whether I will be able to pay for it. I think adverts are a good idea. I wouldn't mind watching adverts if it meant I could play this game for free.

On topic, the rpg would be pretty cool, but I'm wondering about whether people would want to use it. Sometimes its pretty hard to get back to the command post to get more ammo, and if it has only a few shots, I can't see myself using it. It would be immensely useful, especially for dislodging people from cover, but if there aren't many shots, what do you do if you are pinned down with no ammo. Die? Be lucky and spade yourself to the command tent? I could do that, and so could a lot of others, but it would be difficult.

Maybe a secondary?

We should stop saying suggestions and wait to see what it is first. Patience, my young padawans.

I feel so stupid.

Upon reading the post of FB, I thought by RPG it was Role-playing which was being implemented. I.e, upgrades and levelling.

Don't worry, I made a post about that same mistake and saw a rocket launcher pic.

5 if old-client support drops. OpenGL will be laggy as heck on my computer. (don't try and feed me the "But openGL is faster" crap, my computer has onboard graphics.)

But I support RPGs.

The lag issues are going to be fixed next update.

Lets stick to the RPG talk now :)

I know it is, I'm just saying not a lot of people are going to get it.

According to Enari, there is no lag on the OpenGL.

It has more lag than the one we have now if your computer has onboard graphics.

We are here because the Universe offers conditions so life can evolve,to the point where(at least one)species,in a small planet around a star lost between millions of galaxies,is able to ask itself:What was my origin? (M. Gleiser)

@ChaosTLW Enari himself said there was no lag, but then again, his pics of his desk shows that he has a pretty decent set of rigs and mine is below standard.

@Paratrooper I'm saying that AOS will lose players because many don't have credit cards or their parents will not allow them to buy it.

He didn't said it would have no lag, from what I know, he said that in computers with support for OpenGL, it will have less lag than we have now.

Just to clarify:

If your computer does not have a graphics card made after 2005/2006 or has onboard graphics. OpenGL client will only add lots of lag and won't help you at all.

For those lucky enough to have a decent rig with a card made after 2005/2006 OpenGL will be the best thing since sliced bread. It will reduce pretty much all lag (client-side lag that is)

@ChaoTLW Please read a few posts back where Enari answers the same question USABxBooyo had.

@HoboHob You are 100% correct and I have an ATI from 2009. But ATI sucks in my opinion and my computer as you know is retarded. I think OpenGL should be an option as many of us cannot afford/handle a graphics card.

For some reason I think the RPG may be like the Enderdragon of Minecraft. Nonetheless if it does get implemented it'll give a great use to my Potatoe Gun mod.
