Name Plates on Minimap

Hey there i was plaing with 6 - 8 mates the other day and found it very difficult to find where they are running around we eventually just ask whoever we wanted to spin around so we could find them. It just needs to be something simple like a little black box with white letters with there name in it. Cheers :)

I would love to see this, it can be quite troubling to find your friends
In addition, if squads are implemented in to the game proper, then a different coloured outline for squad members would be great for finding them quickly.

To be honest, I think we should have names above heads, and leave the minimap visible to see which way people are facing.

No, you can see the name when you look at the guy. otherwise his name could cover part of the map where the enemy could be when you are close to him. Besides, atleast there would be some use from the minimap.

That's true, perhaps only when you hover your mouse over the player then? And also have a hotkey that you can hold to display all player names.

I approve of idea, but make it transparent so it disappears if anything important is nearby, and this should also be implemented on the main map

I agree, whit the name plates.

The minimap needs NORTH,WEST,SOUTH.EAST markers.

For a squad system.I would love to see the battlefield 2 system. You had a squad leader,where your squad members spawn on,right now squads are anoying.

IF! there is a squad system.we need a seperate chat button for squad talk only.

I think it should only display friendly names when you press a button,or are within 10 blocks from teammates.

To force names on the minimap, there should be a hotkey, (hold it down to see your mates, let go when your done)

If we have a squad system, I dont want people spawning in the field. I see alot of potential abuse. When you die, whoever is in your wave forms a squad with you. (this does mean some squads will be half full, perhaps if said squad meets an existing half squad the two can amalgamate.)
