Ricochet

Got a great new idea for the game?

Ricochet

Pretty simple. When a bullet hits a block, it bounces one block in the opposite angle. After it bounces, it would also go slower, cause less block damage, and take less HP.

Yeah, nope. How would you destroy blocks if there was ricochet? Unless it was random ricochet, in which case the smg would be favoured.

Please consider this when thinking about suggestions: how much and how often will it impact gameplay?

Randomly bouncing bullet? How much will this impact the game - a little extra damage at a random time?
How often will it impact gameplay? Probably less than 1/100 bullets will bounce and hit someone - and probably randomly not by tactics!

Since it has very little impact on gameplay, and doesn't happen often, it is pointless...

The most logical would be needing a given angle between bullet and wall. If they are almost parallel, at around 10 degrees the bullet rebounds, if not the bullet has a normal impact

That would be useless, a no for me

Considering bullets currently damage blocks, which I think is a good idea to keep, its useful for tower of babel and storming forts, ricochet is a bad idea IMO, even if blocks weren't damaged by gun fire, I think too many new players would have a cry about snipers shooting them around corners, and all it would take is a little rapid fire to kill someone.

Bullets do ricochet in real life however. There would probably need to have more limitations than I mentioned. I like the idea of only allowing it from wide angles. I guess the biggest problem is materials. A real bullet would ricochet off of steel, but not brick or dirt. Aos has no differentiation in materials.

Well then let's remove this idea! lol

Don't you think this is going a little bit overboard on realism?
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.
