what has happened to building?

It is often very difficult to build something in the middle of a war, maybe there should be a 5 minute slot in the beginning of the game or when a certain amount of people join when no one can use their weapons so you can actually build something without it being destroyed straight away.

Dude, what would stop people just walking into the middle of the enemy spawn and building a annoyingly huge wall or similar stuff, it would just be annoying for me. However, if you know a bit of scripting this probably wouldnt be to hard to script so you could make it yourself and host a psypades server.

This game isn't minecraft, the point of building here is to make cover or defensive structures. Trying to build while fighting is going on is a good challenge.

Once, long ago, when the bridge wars map was INSANELY popular and had its own server, the blue and the green stoped fighting, set their guns aside and built a structure. I myself did not witness this unprecedented event and the structure built was never descrbed in the post about it. Only a mere 32 players know what was built that day...

But anyways, what is stopping people from doing this example again? Granted it has still only happened once to my knowledge.

Custom maps with enough cover pretty much, play on a classic gen maps and you will see people will have to build covers everywhere or dig to places.

And it has happened twice! but was that only with 7 players? because 32 players cooperating has unfathomably rare chances of happening.

That's why real cover is made up of 2 or 3-block thick walls. Makeshift cover isn't helpful in the long run.

I never really build nothing fancy because It will get griefed In a 2 minute period. Or less.
