Explosions launch blocks in the air

I think explosions should launch blocks in the air, and upon landing they are placed there. I don't know if it can or cannot be implemented, since it sounds pretty simple.

if a grenade blows up a block of dirt, the dirt will no longer be a block and will be scattered in sutch small pieces that individual bits would not be retracable so i dont see a reason to do this. and it would make griefing alot easier, throw a grenade and it destroys a structure and puts blocks on a few others. -1
