New weapon class selection thingy

FIRST OF ALL TO ANYONE I DON'T KNOW WEATHER YOU WOULD CLASS THIS AS A WEAPON OR A NEW CLASS OR IF ITS SUGGEST-ABLE IF ANY MODERATORS COULD HELP IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED. :D

(also please try to keep this this civilised I know its the internet but please be polite, and if you dont like it please tell me why no-one likes blank feedback :D )

ive had this idea for a while now and I now finally want to suggest it.

The idea revolves around how you pick your class (but for this to work the classes may have to be renamed)
on how you press 1 or 2 to pick your team and how to pick 1,2 and 3 to pick you weapon, this would add an extra layer to this selection system, adding a sort of weapon based class system if you will.

you would pick your team as normal, but when you go to select you weapon it would give you 3 options

- Rifleman (semi)
- Gunner(?) (smg)
- Shotgunner (shotgun)

once you select you class(?) it would give you the classic style menu for selecting the weapon of a spinning .kv6 File
with several options of weapons

e.g for the rifle man you could have a semi or a bolt action rifle or a single barrel rifle (sharps carbine type of rifle).

I feel that this would stay close to the games idea of simplicity and add a small amount of customisation and personality to peoples games and also cater to more peoples play styles because it gives them a larger selection of weaponry while still staying close to the SIMPLICITY of the game.
it could also maybe promote a small amount of team play in the fact that they will tell each other what weapon they are using and how this can give there team the upper hand.

I see, more weapons which are variations of current weapons. In itself I'm not against this, but keeping the 3 current weapons balanced is hard enough. With a dozen of guns, I don't imagine

However if you want my idea of weapon specialisation :
-Rifleman : battle rifle (faster, lower range), semi, bolt-action (slower, longer range), anti-materiel rifle (one shot, massive damage)
-Machinegunner : machine pistol (faster, lower range, more mobility), smg, assault rifle (slower, longer range), machinegun (longer range, less mobility)
-Shotgunner : auto shotgun (faster, lower damage), shotgun, sawed-off (2 shots, more mobility), hand cannon (one shot, massive damage and spread)

my thoughts exactly. maybe it could go like

RIFLEMAN
-battle rifle- 20 or 15 round magazine 2 shot kill all round but 3 shot kill on limbs faster fire rate then regular semi
-bolt action- 5 round magazine 1 shot kill all round but 2 shot kill on limbs
-regular semi- average run of the mill semi

GUNNER
-machine pistol- lower damage then the smg 32 round magazine extra mobility no iron sight
(or)-light machine gun- same damage as the smg but a lower fire rate and a 100 round magazine and more recoil
-assault rifle- higher damage then the smg could be based on a m16 or a fn fal sort of rifle 20 or 30 round magazine lower recoil
-smg- average run of the mill smg

SHOTGUNNER
-semi-automatic shotgun- a semi-automatic shotgun with a 7 round magazine (including 1 in the chamber) lower damage then the shotgun and more spread
-double barrel- (could be sawn-off) 2 round magazine could have iron sights or it could use right click to shoot both barrels more damage then the regular shotgun
-regular shotgun- the regular shotgun

I think three weapons is enough. As scarfacemperor said, balancing would be a nightmare.
