Return Intel Rewards; New Ideas!

The intel needs to have a purpose again. You know it, I know it and HOPEFULLY ben knows it.
Instead of just giving the intel the ability to show enemy's on the radar again, I thought of a few other things we could add:
1. EMP/Radar jamming
If your team has just capped the intel e.g Blue, the enemy's radar e.g Green is now jammed: Greens cannot see their own team members on the radar anymore, nor their tent(s) or intel.

2. +10 points to everyone in your team
Self explanitory.

3. Refills for every team member on your team (ammo, health, blocks)
Self explanitory, but this could be a little cheap.

I couldn't think of anymore, but anymore suggestions are greatky appreciated.

The Intel is supposed to be informations about enemies. Seeing enemies on the radar for 1 minute would be more in that way : you capture enemy intel so you know about them.

That is true, but to get people to care again we may need to be extreme.

Dont know didnt play while the rewards where in this game.

I advise admins to remove this mother fucking asholing char limit or i will rage. And it wont be pretty.

For experienced players, seeing enemy on the radar worth it's weight in gold, mostly when trying to sneak to enemy base without being seen. That could replace or be added to the radar jamming.

We still need to something to attract players towards it though.
Thinking about it, perhaps we also need to add something to make player want to defend it... like maybe we it's capped every player on the enemy team dies or something? lol.

Why not a score bonus when a player kills an enemy, while he is near his intel ? Killing an enemy while you are in a radius of 25m around the Intel gives you 2 points instead of 1.

That's actually a pretty good idea, perhaps we need to add things that are linked to the intels radius.
BUT, we don't want to make it so that players will baby the intel so much that they stick to it like glue.

That kind of players would be decimated by enemies. That will only be a very temporary problem, if this is a problem.

And the bonus could also be reversed : killing an enemy within his intel's range = 2 points. To encourage attack.

If there's a reward for capturing the intel, we have to make sure that it's very difficult for someone to "grief" the intel carrier if it's a personal reward. If it's a reward for the whole team then I suppose the current system would still work nicely.

Really just bring back the old reward and make it last slightly longer. It benefits everyone and makes sense given that its the enemys intel. Other alternatives include giving the opponent false intel, which for a period of time gives false data to the enemies (ie, if blue caps the intel, greens see their soldiers in the wrong spots, along with enemy intel and cp showing up in different areas aswell)

I don't think we should make too much of what the intel is specifically. Some side effects like seeing enemies on the map would be cool, but first and formost the intel fills the gameplay role of a strategic objective, and the game should reflect that.

I would like to see a nice and simple solution like giving all players on the capturing team 25 kills. 10 is too little in my opinion, you can get that with some time and modest effort - there should be a real incentive to go for that intel - it's not easy after all and takes a good deal of time.

Things like map effects or extra kills for the capturing player sound cool but getting intel is hard and there should be a solid tangible reward in addition to whatever else.

I think getting rid of the tracer on the radar, then adding the radar show the enemy for intel capture again would be the best thing, but maybe have it last 2 minutes or something, so it's more noticeable and useful, making more people go for it. I think the whole team shouldn't benefit from the person capping the intel, it should just be the person who delivers it, or the people who had the intel on the way back, or something.

also, yeah, add something so when a player helps bring the intel back, they get assists in capping the intel
