Screen zooms in when sprinting?

Got a great new idea for the game?

Would you like the screen to zoom while sprinting?

Screen zooms in when sprinting?

Postby Paratrooper » Fri Apr 27, 2012 12:31 am

By doing this, we could create some sort of "tunnel vision", where the character is only focused on running. This would lower the peripheral vision of the sprinting player.

Thought?

To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

So that would mean that the character would be focusing his eyes in one direction only, thus blocking out some of the left and right sides of the screen?

Yeah, so that the character would look like it's focusing on getting to cover rather than acquiring targets. The player would have to be cautious when sprinting since he couldn't see anyone outside his/her field of view.

Reminds me of Minecraft sprinting.

We are here because the Universe offers conditions so life can evolve,to the point where(at least one)species,in a small planet around a star lost between millions of galaxies,is able to ask itself:What was my origin? (M. Gleiser)

it'd be cool, maybe also the edges of the screen get a bit blurred/grayed in, it would be a nice effect

When you say zoom, do you mean like what happens when you use ironsights?

The zooming would probably be smoother and more gradual, not instant.

+1 for this, it would accually make me concentrate a bit more while sprinting (at the moment im just daydreaming while running along, lalalalalalalala-BOOM 'Deuce killed BrotherSchramm (Headshot)' then again, thats probly just my derpiness)
Adding this in would create a sence of panic, therefore aiding my concentration and also make people less likely to do intel runs.
