A way to lessen AFK Players

Postby TRYxHARDERxPANTS » Tue Apr 17, 2012 1:40 am

Don't you hate when you go in a match of 32 and finding half the team AFK?

I've thought of a simple solution. After every map change it would ask-

-JOIN?-

It would be a button to press after you load the map. If you do not press the join button within 20 seconds you will be kicked.
You can rejoin though if you are kicked if you do happen to go away for a short time.

This would help a lot of servers lessen the amount of AFK players.

Some servers already have 5 minute kicks. Sorry, but no.

Edit: If a server that doesn't want 5 minute kicks but wants what you said... I changed my mind. I'll click maybe ;D

Yeah, pyspades has an afkkicker script already and only like 5~12 of almost a hundred servers run vanilla anyways.

More than 20 seconds, I'd give it 2 minutes. And most maps I've played on don't change for a long time, meaning that they wouldn't be kicked. I'd rather 2-5 minutes of inactivity means kick.

I also agree I'd like to see 64-player servers
