[Poll] Game Instructions

This is a simple suggestion. To aid newer players to the game and multiple game types, I propose that there should be either one of the following:

a) An instructional page between starting the game and choosing a team which explains the rules and objectives of the game type being played.

b) A instructional page within the game, toggled by pressing a button such as 'h' with the above information.

These are simply to aid newer players in the game who may not know exactly what they are doing in each game type as they play, and to give them hints and help in achieving the objectives. It is to help stop players from blindly going for kills and nothing else because they don't actually know the aim of the game.

Sure, why not. There could even be an official server for target practice and to introduce the game to new players. I just dont like when the game assume we are monkey and says HURR DURR PRES RMB MOUSE BUTTON TO SHOT BULTS AN 2 DEAL DAEMGE! GUD JOB, NOU TAEK TAT BRIFCADSE AN BRIG IT TO CAMPFIRE

isn't there a readme in when you first install ace of spades?

There is a readme, but it doesn't explain the details of each game mode, which is where a lot of the trouble lies. Including it in the readme would be problematic as it would need updating when players come up with a new game-mode, and people really don't read the readme anyway.

I think if there was a simple somewhere ingame, explaining the rules of each game-mode and maybe the icons on the maps, then people would understand what they are doing much faster and games would be much better.

Yeah, in earlier versions there were instructions on the team select page. It would be nice to have them back (and easier to read)

We definitely need to make it so people know that this isn't a shoot-em-up game. AoS was meant to have some strategy, and I think it should go back to being that way.

It wouldn't necessarily be for the game controls, more for the rules of each game mode. It would be a way of making sure everybody on a server knows the aims and objectives of each game mode.

I voted for option one b/c for the second one, nobody would know to press h, so you'd need separate instructions for that by pressing j, which you'd learn from pressing k, which you'd learn...
