Yes I know AoS is not minecraft, we don't want AoS like minecraft or CoD, nanani nanana ...
But, for my opinion, I find sad to see there is only 1 kind of block. And this block can be destroyed by weapon (3 shots except for shotgun)
What I suggest in a first time for have a progamming strategic oriented mod (a game for competition and team) is :
- Put a last stand victory condition, each team start with amount of lives who decrease each time one of their member die. When the number reach 0 the team lose. And this with a fixed respawn point (or box)
- Limited the ammount of block you can carry by something like 3 or 5, and when you respawn, have 0 block in inventory
- Have specials blocks in the map (thats the minecraft-like ressource), like block who resist better against weapon, and other who resist better against grenade
- Put a little sprite for each side of the block for differenciate them, all player will be able to change the color of the block without change his nature
If this mod is created, other possibility could come with implementation of "ressource block and craft" like :
- classe with special ability
- weapon constructed by craft and limited (when you die the weapon disapear)
- why not a research time system for some technology
In short term, have another real strategy game which have player for base unit, like freeallegiance (but this is a space game simulation with rts system)
